Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency
Feather River West Levee
The Feather River West Levee Project consists of improving 44 miles of levees along the west bank of the Feather River in order to provide 100-year flood protection. The goal of the project was to reduce flood risk and eventually remove more than 34,000 properties from FEMA Special Flood Hazard Areas.
Jones Hall has acted as bond counsel to the Flood Control Agency on two bond issues and a line of credit issue, providing $80 million of financing for the project. Jones Hall has also assisted the Agency in obtaining State Revolving Fund (SRF) financing for the project.
