Silicon Valley Clean Water Treatment Plant
Silicon Valley Clean Water is a joint powers agency that serves more than 200,000 people and business in the cities of Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont and Menlo Park on the San Francisco Peninsula. SVCW has undertaken a substantial capital improvement project to replace and rehabilitate its pump stations and treatment plant to ensure the reliability and safety of its water supplies. Total project costs exceeded $800 million.
Jones Hall acted as bond counsel to the SVCW on four separate issues of revenue bonds totaling over $225 million, and as issuer’s counsel in connection with state revolving fund loans. In its capacity as state bond counsel to the Authority, Jones Hall has also assisted with individual financings done by the Authority on behalf of the City of Redwood City, the City of San Carlos and the West Bay Sanitary District.
