Forward-thinking from the start.

Est. 1978

In 1978, the firm’s founding members, Andy Hall, Ken Jones, Bob Hill and Sharon White, left the San Mateo law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton and Lynch to form Jones Hall Hill & White in San Francisco, bringing many decades of municipal bond experience to the new firm. Jones Hall was structured from the outset to focus exclusively on municipal finance.

Over the years, we have expanded our expertise and practice to include disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel and special tax counsel services. As a result of the focus and vision of its founders, Jones Hall has become the premier bond counsel firm in California.

In 1984, the firm changed its organization from a partnership to a professional law corporation, and in 1997 changed its name to Jones Hall, A Professional Law Corporation. The firm has maintained an office in San Francisco continuously since its founding, and has grown to 18 attorneys, more than half of whom are partners whose expertise and focus has always been California public finance.
